Armpit stains can be quiet embarrassig. If you ever had really bad armpit stains, not just after a heavy workout or where everyone has them (like in extremely hot climate), butin everyday situations (like when being in the office or in class), then you know how much shame they can cause. In this article, I want to talk about what you can do to counter armpit stains, so that you avoid the discomfort and embarrassment.
There are different approache – for example, you might just want to use pads that absorb the excessive sweat and thus “hide” your armpit sweat.
But another approach would be to just stop the excessive sweating problem itself. In fact, the condition that you are probably suffering from is called axillary hyperhidrosis, and there are different treatment options available to you. Some of them are natural, others use prescription drugs, surgery or other treatments.
One example is called iontophoresis. This treatment is most commonly used to treat excessie sweating of the hands and feet, but it can also be used to stop sweaty armpits. However, if you know what is involved, you probably don’t want to make use of this option. Basiaclly, you take small pads that you soak in water. These pads are attached to a device, that will administer mild electric shocks that will deactivate your sweat glands temporarily. However, since the armpits are generally more sensitive than hands and feet, this option is too painful for most people, specially if you take into consideration that you have to undergo it repeatedly if you want to avoid the excessive armpit sweating to return.
If you don’t mind the sweating, but just want to get rid of the armpit stains, then simply using sweat absorbing pads for your underarms, or special t-shirts is totally fine, specially if you combine the usage of them with application of antiperspirants There are some antiperspirants that are specifically designed to treat excessive underarm sweating, and they can be effective for many people who want to avoid armpit stains, because they contain alumnium salt metals that “block” the sweat ducts of your skin where you apply the antiperspirants.
My favourite method is using a naturalo health regimen that I use every day when taking a shower. It has completely gotten rid of my hyperhidrosis problem permanently, it is very low maintenance (in fact, takes only about 30 seconds a day), low-riced and is risk-free. (Other than some of the other treatment options). You can find more about this method on the homepage, where I go into more detail.
Whatever you decide will be best for you – realize that there are many ways to fight armpit stains and avoid the embarrassment that comes with it. I know that you might feel like you have tried all kinds of things and nothing works – I was there. For example, aniperspirants really didn’t do the job for me they were supposed to do, even the “strong” prescription antiperspirants that my doctor prescribed me. Everybody’s axillary hyperhidrosis is a bit different, and you might have to give different methods a try before you find what works best for you.
