Excessive facial sweating is a problem that many people suffer from. But most of these people think that they are the only one. And in fact, there is a certain kind of stigmatization that can come with excessive facial sweating, or facial hyperhidrosis, as it is also called. I know because I myself had this problem for a long while – not just limited to my ace, but all my body.
Of course, your face is the most visible part of your body, and you will often create an unfavourable impression when you have extreme sweat on your face. Whether people are aware of it or not: they are often, at least on a subconscious level, wondering: why is this person sweating so much? Am I making him or her uncomfortable? Is he or she lying, trying to cover something up? Even if it is just for physiological reasons, profuse sweating is often associated with feeling uncomfortable, lying, cheating, being afraid of beingt “caught red handed”.
For women, this is an even bigger problem, because in extreme cases it can make wearing make up almost impossible, because the dripping sweat will smear even carefully placed makeup over your face in very unfashionly ways. And apart of all the embarrassing factors, it can just feel uncomfortable, specially when sweat is constantly dripping into your eyes – so even if you have such an iron hard confidence that you don’t bother about what other peple think of you, you will still want to get rid of this problem for your own comfort’s sake.
Unfortunately, many of the treatments that work well for general or axillary hyperhidrosis don’t work well on your face. (For example, try applying strong perspirants on your face… or better yet: DON’T try it). The skin of the face is also a lot more sensitive than other areas of your body.
If you are overweight, then just losing weight might be one of the best things you can do to reduce sweating in every area of your body, and also be healthier in many other ways. But losing weight is not an easy task. (Just looking at the millions of people who spend billions of dollars each year on diet supplements, methods, books, seminars and pills will show you the extent of the difficulty that is attached to losing weight, and how hard that struggle is).
So if losing weight is not an option for you, then you might want to try to stop facial redness itself, and make this the target of your efforts.
If that is what you want to do, then you will either already know about Robinul, or you will learn soon about it. However, my suggestion is that you don’t make use of it. sympathectomy is another treatment form for facial hyperhidrosis, but rather resort to natural treatment options. Sympathectonomy (also known as ETS) surgery, is a MAJOR surgery, and not just a small one where you visit a doctor. During the surgery, one half of your longues will be collapsed and the nerves that go to the sweat glands of your face will be permanently destroyed. This treatment is irreversble.
What’s worse – studies have shown that up to 90 percent of the people who undergo ETS surgery will suffer from compensatory sweating. Compensatory sweating means that instead of sweating on your face, you will simply sweat in another part of your body. Often as worse, or even worse than the facial sweating that you got the ETS surgery for in the first place.
